We are doing an assignment at study hall which will be submitted today, 30th April 2013. Three assignment should be submitted today which are Centre Lathe, Cam Drawing and Assembly Drawing. Fortunately, I already submit the worksheet.
Marine Workshop
Yesterday which was on Saturday afternoon, it was a period of marine workshop. Our job was to dismantle every part of diesel engine. My group member were Hj Asyraf, Zulhafizzan, Nuralzimah, Waie, and me. First of all, we disengaged the bolt of valves component which was located at the top. Then dismantled the two cylinder heads and we found that there were two cylinder liners inside the engine block. Next was unpin between the connecting rods and the pistons. Then disconnect the camshaft. Lastly, our instructors, sir Fauzi and Sir Iskandar showed us which one were inlet valve and outlet valve and outlet valve should be 45° for the angle. Then we cleaned everything and lapped the bottom part of cylinder head. Then will reassemble everything during the next workshop period.
Model of Pulleys
We were given a Mathematics assignment a week ago which was the topic about Circular Measure and Non-Linear Graph. There were also given a diagram of two pulleys with radius of 20cm and 10cm which connected by the thin rod with length of 100cm. In task 1 we are required to calculate the total length of the belt and also which formula would be applied. In task 2, it asked to create the model of the pulleys which will be used for the report of the assignment. Task 3 is about plotting two graph by indicated of square of radius and the total length calculated. Here are the picture of the model created by our group in the afternoon yesterday
Language and Communication Presentation
During morning and afternoon session we have Language and Communication presentation delivered by Diploma Marine A, B and C at Audio and Visual Room. The topic presented about Refrigeration and Air-Condition, about how to blogging, Power hand tools, Safety, Water Sprinkler and so on. 15 person just done with the presentation and will be proceed on the next day during the tutorial lesson.
